Before starting Teamcenter, you should check if you are using the work environment "CAD". Choose the work environment "CAD" by clicking
Start -> Programme -> LZM-Menu -> SetUserDesktop CAD. After that, you can start Teamcenter via
Start -> Programme -> CAD -> Teamcenter 12.
Loading Teamcenter might take a while, be patient.

- While working with Teamcenter and Siemens NX the applications will open seperate windows in the background. Do not close these windows while working with Teamcenter or Siemens NX. Otherwise all your data will be lost.
When closing the main windows of Teamcenter and Siemens NX these background windows will also close. This can take a few minutes. Please wait before continuing to log off from the computer.

Type the following information to log in: (figure "Login window")
- As User ID, use your windows user name.
- Choose the Server CAD SoSe (should be set by default)
- When logging in for the first time, your password is your matriculation number (Matrikelnummer). Changing your password is explained in the following section.
- Leave Group and Role blank.
- Confirm by clicking Login.

- If an error is displayed during login, close it and try logging in again. If it reoccurs, close Teamcenter and try again. If that does not solve the error, consult the FAQ provided on Moodle to find a solution.

If you want to close Teamcenter, always click File -> Exit.

- After closing Teamcenter, Teamcenter Rich Client keeps running for a short time. Always wait for the client to close itself. Otherwise you could lose data and create issues when logging in next time.
