5.3.3 Angle
You can use the Measure function to measure angles between edges, planes, axes, etc. among other things. These result from the selection of different objects and measurement filters.
First select the Measure
command again.
Angle between two objects
To measure angles, first activate the Angle
measurement filter. To determine the angle between two objects (for example edges), select two objects (see figure "Angle between two edges").

In addition to the direct selection of two objects for measuring an angle, it is also possible to select the angle between an object and a vector (for example the X-axis of the world coordinate system (see figure "Angle between an edge and a vector").
When measuring an angle between two objects, NX can display different angles. To switch between the possible measurement results, use Inner Angle , Outer Angle or Supplementary Angle to switch between the smaller, larger or supplementary angles (see figure "Angle between two edges").
Angle between three Points
another possibility for angle measurement is the included angle between three points. First select a base point and then a start and end point for the measurement (see figure "Angle between three points"). By swapping the sequence, you can subsequently adjust the measurement.
Screen Angle
With the
function, the angle in the screen plane is measured, as with a 2D drawing.
The angles are measured directly between elements. Care must be taken, as the program does not always select the edge that should actually be selected. This means that the measurement result does not reflect the desired angle. Do not use this analysis function in 3D modeling.
