Chapter 8: Synchronous Modeling
In this chapter you will learn how to edit solid bodies using Synchronous Modeling without knowing the history of its creation. This is illustrated by individual smaller examples. To do this, you use predesigned individual parts, which you can find in Teamcenter under

What does Synchronous Modeling mean?
Synchronous Modeling is a history-independent, form element based type of modeling. This function is used if you want to edit a model created with an older version of NX or another CAD system. It is also used for early drafts where structured modelling is not yet possible.
The essential function is that no history of creation must be known in order to edit a body. In addition, the user can make changes directly on the body without having to search for and edit the appropriate parameters in the history.
