7.2 Assembly Drawing

In the following section, you will learn the technical product documentation of an assembly.

While an individual part drawing represents all product manufacturing information such as dimensions, tolerances and production processes of an individual part, an assembly drawing contains concrete assembly instructions and is therefore also referred to as an assembly drawing or mounting drawing. It also allows you to place a parts list in form of a table that provides you with information on for example the number of pieces, item number and part number of the individual components.

Using the subassembly ubg_rolle_tpd and the subassembly bg_scooter, you will get to know the most important functions for creating an assembly drawing during this chapter. You will find these preassembled assemblies in Teamcenter.

Please also note that drawings are not always produced according to standards, as it is only a matter of showing the various functions.
