5.3 Measuring functions

In this chapter you will learn the different functions, that are necessary for the analysis of an unparameterized model.

The geometry and the measurements of the model are necessary to remodel an unparameterized model correctly. These measures can be different lengths of edges, distances between points and edges, angles of faces, radii of blends etc.
To determine these values there are different measuring functions in NX:

  • Measuring distances
  • Measuring diameters
  • Measuring angles
  • ...

Once the part is modeled, there are functions to check the replication of the given example part. The comparison of the volume, the surface and the geometry can be useful:

  • Measurement and comparison of the surface
  • Measurement and comparison of the volume
  • Comparison of the model
