In this exercise you'll learn about basic navigation in NX by using the mouse.
Open the item uebungsklotz.
Using this Model you can comprehend the following functions.
The function Rotate rotates the object in any direction.
There are two options:

- Click the icon
in the icon bar on top of the screen.
Now you can hold LMB and rotate the object.
By pressing CMB or by clicking the icon again you can close this funtion. - By holding the CMB the point of rotation is aligned with your curser, as long as CMB is held.
- Click the icon
With the function Pan you can translate the object across the CAD-screen.
There are three options:

Now you can move the object within the active window at will while holding LMB.(Rotating is still possible by holding CMB.)
To close Pan press CMB.
- Hold CMB and RMB simultaneously and move the curser.
- Press Shift and CMB simultaneously.
The function Zoom In/Out allows you to zoom in or out on your object at will.
There are four options:
- Use the scroll wheel.
- Click

You can now zoom by using the LMB.
(Rotating is still possible by holding CMB.)
To close Zoom In/Out press CMB.
- Hold CMB and LMB simultaneously and move the curser.
- Hold the Strg-Key and CMB simultaneously and move the curser.
The function Fit adjusts the size of an object in a way that it exactly fits the CAD-screen. This is especially helpful, if the object is not visible after zooming or panning. To do so, click . You can also access this function via the context menu, which pops up when clicking on an empty space within the CAD-screen with the RMB.

Square context menus:
By pressing the key STRG + SHIFT and simultaneously holding RMB or LMB, you can open context menus.
You can acess the menu Features II by pressing und holding LMB. Now you can select one of the functions within the context menu by dragging the curser on the desired function while still holding LMB. (refer figure "context menu Features II")
Using the RMB instead of LMB opens the context menu Synchronous Modeling.(refer figure "context menu Synchronous Modeling")

These menus offer an additional option to access commonly used functions especially fast. You can also access these functions by using the menus they are located in.
