The broker manages all offered and all requested services. Stations can request for services and the broker sends available human resources to the requester. A broker has to be registered to the station to become active.

The shift calender is used to model shifts. Worker stop working during the pauses and return to the worker pool at the end of their shift. You can define as many shifts as desired.

Task:

• Create a broker and a shift calendar.
• Register the broker and the shift calendar to the worker pool.
• Activate the appropriate services for all workplaces.

Step-by-Step:

1. Insert a broker and a shift calender to the frame. If you place it next the worker pool they will be assoiciated to the each other. Otherwise open the worker pool and input the "Broker" to the broker field (1) and "ShiftCalendar" to the shift calendar field (2) (see figure 1).

2. Open the "Cutting" station in the manufactring frame.
3. Activate the importer (1) and link the broker (2) (see figure 2).

4. Repeat the steps 2-3 for the stations "Turning" and "Measurement" as well as the "Assembly" station in the pre-assembly of the piston rod and the "Assembly" in the main frame.
   
5. To correctly link only assembler to the "Assembly" station click on the button "Services for Setting-Up and Processing" (3) (see figure 2). Input "Assembler" instead of "Standard Service".
6. In order to carry parts by workers from one to another station. Open the station "Washing" and select "Carry Part Away" as exit strategy (1) (see figure 3).

7. Link the broker (2) and assign the target for the material unit (3).
