Besides material flow Tecnomatix Plant Simulation is also able to simulate the appropriate information flow. In the following subchapter you learn how to model the information flow using the elements:

• TableFile, and
• QueueFile.

Tecnomatix Plant Simulation supports different data typs such as:

• Numbers in whole numbers (integer),
• Floating-point number (real),
• Text (string),
• Date and Time (time, date or datetime), and
• Boolean terms (boolean).

1. You have to add the information flow class elements. Therefore open the "Manage Class Library"-Dialog by left-clicking on "File > Manage Class Library...". Please add the following information flow class libraries:
• Comments,
• TableFile, and
• QueueFile.
2. You can change the selection at any time chosing the menu entry "Menu > Manage Class Library...".
3. If desired, you can save this model to any location for example to "03_BasicInformation.spp" on your desktop.
