There are various functions used for transforming a 2D sketch to a 3D body
Sketch mode is used to draw, dimension and parametrise profiles.
Any later changes made to the sketch directly affect the body created with it. This allows you to create complex profiles.
There are three basic functions to create a volumetric body from a sketch:
Extrude (Translate)
With extrude, a profile is projected along a vector through 3D space to create a volumetric body. (figure "Extruded")
Revolve (Rotation)
With revolve, a profile is rotated around an axis which creates a volumetric body. (figure "Revolved")
Sweep along Guide (Trajection)
With sweep along guide, a profile is projected along a curve through 3D space, which creates a volumetric body. (figure "Sweep along guide").
