2.4.3 Exercise 3: Designing a Complete Factory

In this chapter, you will plan and design a complete digital factory based on a real factory. The model of the digital factory is based on the Center for Industrial Productivity (CiP), a process learning factory owned by the Institute of Production Management, Technology and Machine Tools of the Technische Universität Darmstadt. More information of the Center for industrial Productivity (CiP) factory can be found here. The layout of the factory can be seen in the following figure.
