3.2.6 Process Simulate Exercise 1

In this chapter, you will learn how to create a weld operation in Process Simulate. In order to do this chapter, you need to complete the Exercise 1: Simple Workstation and Exercise 2: Expanding the Model in the Process Designer chapter.

Please open the Simple Workstation project in Process Simulate via direct access and load the study in standard mode. Alternatively, load the study from Process Designer in Process Simulate using the standard mode. Feel free to discuss the exercise with other participants. If you have any questions or face any difficulties, do not hesitate to ask your trainer.

Exercise Details

Using Process 2 as Scope operation, create following operations:

  1. Robot 2 should pick the Box 2 and place it on the conveyor. Name the operation Robot2_PNP_Op1.
  2. After Box 2 has been transported, Robot 2 should pick the Box 3 and place it on the conveyor. Name the operation Robot2_PNP_Op2.
  3. Box 2 and Box 3 should be transported from one end to the other end of the conveyor. Name the operations Op2 and Op3 subsequently.

Using Process 1 as Scope operation, create following operations:

  1. As soon as Box 2 arrives at the end of the Conveyor, Robot 1 should pick the Box 2 and place it on the Cart on top of Box 1. Name the operation Robot1_PNP_Op2.
  2. As soon as Box 3 arrives at the end of the Conveyor, Robot 1 should pick the Box 3 and place it on the Cart on top of Box 3. Name the operation Robot1_PNP_Op3.

Verify the paths that you created in the Path Editor so that the operations run successfully. Also order the operations that you created in the Sequence Editor, so that an appropriate order of sequence exists.
