3.3.5 Process Simulate Exercise 2

In this chapter, you will learn how to create a weld operation in Process Simulate. In order to do this chapter, you need to complete the Exercise 1: Simple Workstation and Exercise 2: Expanding the Model in the Process Designer chapter.

Please open the Simple Workstation project in Process Simulate via direct access and load the study in standard mode. Alternatively, load the study from Process Designer in Process Simulate using the standard mode. Feel free to discuss the exercise with other participants. If you have any questions or face any difficulties, do not hesitate to ask your trainer.

Exercise Details

Using Process 3 as Scope operation, create following work tasks with the human model Jack:

  1. After the tree boxes (Box 1, Box 2, and Box 3) have been placed by the robot on the Cart, the human model Jack should walk to the Cart.
  2. The human model Jack should grasp the Cart and walk with the Cart together with the boxes to the Workbench.
  3. The human model Jack should place Box 3 from the Cart on the Workbench, Box 2 from the Cart on the Desk, and Box 1 from the Cart in the Box Rack.
  4. Afterwards, the human model Jack should return the Cart to its original position in front of the Robot 1.

Using Process 3 as Scope operation, create following work tasks with the human model Jill:

  1. The appearance of the human model Jill should be change to a woman.
  2. The human model Jill should walk to the Box Rack, take the Small Box from the Box Rack and place it on the Desk. This operation should run simultaneously to the operation of the human model Jack.
  3. Perform the work task with different attributes of the human model Jill (weight and height). Did you notice any differences?
