3.1.2.2 Path Editor

The Path Editor enables you to visualize, manipulate, and add path data by displaying detailed information about the path and its locations. Different types of paths are supported by the Path Editor, including assembly studies, human, and weld operation.

The Path Editor contains an operation tree area on the left side and a table of values on the right side. The operation tree contains the hierarchy of paths and locations in the current operation. The name of the current operation is displayed at the root of the tree. If you select a location in the Path Editor, it will be displayed in the Graphic Viewer. The table of values contains detailed locations of a path for each axis. You can click directly inside the table cells to change the data. In the Path Editor, you can also easily add, delete, copy, paste and reorder paths and locations.

If the Path Editor is not displayed when you open Process Simulate, select View > Viewers > Path Editor from the menu bar to display the Path Editor. You can add an operation to the Path Editor using one of the following steps:

  • Drag and drop the operation from the Operation Tree to the Path Editor,
  • Select the operation in the Operation Tree and click the Add Operation to Editor button in Path Editor.
