3.3.2 Human Postures

The Human Posturing option enables you to create a posture operation that manipulates the joints of a selected body part. To manipulate the joints of a human model:

  1. Select a human model, either in the Graphic Viewer or from the Object Tree.
  2. Open the Human Posturing window using one of the following steps:
    • Select Human > Human Postures > Human Posturing from the menu bar,
    • Right-click and select Human Posturing from the context menu,
    • Click the Human Posturing button on the toolbar.
  3. The Human Posturing window opens, displaying following four tabs:
    • The Human Motion tab enables you to define motion constraints and motion behavior. For example, you can define which body part should remain stiff during the Joint Jog.
    • In the Joint Jog tab, you can select a body part that you want to manipulate from the dropdown list. Check the Symmetric box if you want both right and left body parts to move symmetrically. Select the available joint and drag the slide bar to the left/right- The joint of the selected human model in the Graphic Viewer moves automatically as you drag the slide bar.
    • The Advanced Man Jog tab is similar to the Joint Jog tab, with a more complex input parameter available.
    • In the Force Inputs tab.
  4. Check the Visualize targets box to visualize the joint movements of the selected human model in the Graphic Viewer.
  5. Click Create Operation to save the posture as a new operation (similar to a device operation), Reset to return the human model to its original posture, and Close to close the Human Posturing window and adopt the new posture without saving the new posture as an operation.
